I am a visual designer, motion artist and interactive UI specialist from Toronto, Canada, having arrived home from a long time abroad before the Rona started saying something.
I enjoy quiet strolls through tree-lined maple syrup farms during the winter solstice. Like any true Canadian, I enjoy Molson Canadian; I am overly apologetic and a liberal thinker.
My talents include knowing obscure facts and stories about hip-hop artists (mainly from the genre’s golden era), knowing Apple’s release schedules and selling my devices in time for refreshes, and having a very acute knowledge of Sharks, even though they are my greatest fear. I have had the unique experience of being signed to a major recording label, which took me around the world to spread the joy of Canadian hip hop wrapped in an annoying, soft, malleable shell of bubble-gum pop music. I am a former graffiti writer who only tagged, which made me very aware of typography, which is a good thing because I would have had to work a lot harder if I got accepted into industrial design at university.
I graduated with a BDes from the Ontario College of Art and Design University (OCADU), which confuses everyone as it is a College and University all at once. During my thesis year, I opened and operated an international design studio with two colleagues who contributed to me winning the gold medal award for graphic design (unfortunately, it's not really gold). I have had the heart-warming experience of working at several massive media conglomerates, where the excitement of being a full-time motion graphic designer led me to New York City, Zürich, and Berlin, where I have spread my talents and helped out working on some pretty amazing things. Some are so big that they fill arenas, and some are so small that you look (and tap) at them on your phone.
I hope your eyes like what they see on this site.
Oh, you can DL my CV here.
