Animoto - Safari Friends

These fierce creatures were developed for one of Animoto's styles, skewed toward children. I created a series of animals that were later animated and put into action. The process began with inspiration from famed children's book author/illustrator, Eric Carle, and his technique of using different cut-out patterns for animals. In order to simplify the look and create cohesion, I moved on to designing the animals based on a square, triangle and circle. I then used patterns and textures that seemed familiar (at a second glance) to attain a pleasing look (my nod to Mr. Carle). Add blinking eyes and ear wiggles, and you have some new furry friends.

Animoto - Number One Dad

These graphics were designed for a style skewed towards Father's Day, affectionately named Number One Dad. All the illustrations were based on the stereotypical "dad" gifts that fathers all over North America have become used to on national gift-giving holidays: socks, ties, tools and electronics (among others). Here is a small sampling of what I illustrated and animated for the style.

Animoto - Travel Style Animated Iconography

These icons were developed for a travel style, at the behest of Animoto. I animated them. And I like them.
